The Real truth Homeless College Grads

To think, you go in debt to obtain an education that will take you to new heights in America. The only place it takes you, to living on the streets. ◾Media reports of a growing economy and low unemployment mask a number of reasons that homelessness persists and, in some areas, is worsening. These include stagnant or falling incomes and less secure jobs offering fewer benefits.
◾Two trends largely responsible for the rise in homelessness over the past 20-25 years are: a growing shortage of affordable rental housing and a simultaneous increase in poverty

It is amazing the number of college grads that I speak with, they have completed college and are utilizing the hostels to live, when they can afford to pay. Take a look around your own city, look in the faces of the homeless, yes many of them have mental illness, drug addictions and have been victims of domestic violence. Many homeless people sleep in cars, go to work and do not have the means to pull monies together for deposits to secure housing. Many states do not have the resources to offer help to the large number of homeless, children, families. America, we must address the issues that affect communities all over the country. Will affordable health care offer a small solution to such a growing concern.
