It’s time AMERICA “TALK” to victims, survivors & Thrivers of ABUSE
The List continues to grow in this country regarding RAPE, child abuse and neglect: physical abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, and emotional maltreatment. Domestic Violence. The door is open, provide resources that can help other victims. I viewed CNN today and the conversation of a bias media was on target. My number one concern, survivors need to see the faces of other survivors. Blacks are victims, Hispanics are victims and Native Americans are victims, and we must FAIRLY be represented in MEDIA. Give us the opportunity to provide resources to ALL people of Rape, abuse and Incest. April was child abuse and awareness month, I saw many faces survivors, but close to no faces of survivors like ME. Nor did I see the faces of Hispanics, Native Americans. We are not represented fairly. The buck must stop NOW! Most victims, want to feel SAFE when coming out. Media needs to begin feeding the SOULS of people who are victims, you bring, Clinical Experts, attorneys, law enforcement those are also the people who are more intimidating to victims. Coming out is a process, it starts with coming out of denial. Your also dealing with high school students that has experienced physical violence from a dating partner. Among adult victims of rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner, 22.4 % of women and 15.0% of men first experienced some form of partner violence between 11 and 17 years. You decide, are we fairly going to tackle this horrific epidemic as AMERICANS?
